Collaborating with the brilliant Tyne Bank Brewery to offer an exclusive bread and beer making workshop was a no-brainer for us at ABC. Both being born of grain and yeast, bread and beer make for natural bedfellows, and now you can enjoy exploring the delicious and complex flavours produced by combining the two at our day long workshop.
Your day will include making a range of breads incorporating beer, spent grains from the brewing process, and our own lambic beer yeast starter. (You will also sample a range of beers from the master brewers at Tyne Bank, and brew your own sourdough toast beer ??.. need a bit of info about this here as I’m not sure what you’ve got planned!)
The day will start at 9.30am in our professional kitchen for a morning bread making session incorporating beer, spent grains from the brewing process, and our own lambic beer yeast starter. While the loaves are baking we’ll head over to Tyne Bank Brewery for a sourdough toast beer mash, a delicious spot of lunch and a beer sampling from the master brewers at Tyne Bank. Head home happy, full, and with treats to share at around 5.30pm (or stay for another bevvy or two!)
